Loretta Cate, PharmD, CPCC
Loretta Cate brings over twenty years of pharmaceutical sales leadership and training experience, plus clinical knowledge as a PharmD to WLH Consulting, Inc. (“WLH”). As a Senior Consultant with WLH, Loretta’s primary area of focus is leadership development. Loretta blends her background as a sales leader and learning professional to design and facilitate programs on business planning, coaching, field integration, and collaboration. These programs use adult learning principles with participants to allow them to diagnose and address the typical challenges they face with customers and lead high performing teams.
Loretta is an expert in working with sales leadership and is a certified executive coach. She has experience with coaching individuals on how to lead through change, develop strengths, and create high performing teams. With the evolving changes in the healthcare landscape, Loretta provides great insights and support to sales leaders’ business acumen and has tremendous ability to execute strategic plans.
Loretta started her career at Parke-Davis, a division of Warner-Lambert as a sales representative in 1983 and ended as a Regional Director. During her 18 year career with Parke-Davis, she held positions in sales, sales management, human resources and organizational effectiveness, training, and leadership development. Loretta’s last position with Parke-Davis was Senior Manager of Training and Development where she oversaw the development and execution of advanced professional training and leadership development programs for 550 colleagues.
Loretta worked as Director of Leadership Development for Pfizer, Inc. and continued there for many years. During her tenure at Pfizer, Loretta was the “lead” on numerous projects. Loretta coached district managers to lead through change which resulted in the retention of top talent and increased performance during the greatest re-structuring process in the history of Pfizer, Inc. Overall, Loretta worked with large sales teams, managers, and conducted numerous training and development programs through the US markets.
Loretta is a graduate of the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences with a Bachelor of Science degree and Doctorate of Pharmacy degree.
