Mark I. Farber, Ph.D.

Dr. Mark Farber is a Business and Research expert who leverages strong statistical modeling and research capabilities for conducting organizational assessments, establishing return-on-investment metrics, performance reporting, and building learning programs related to business statistics for clients.

Mark has over 20 years of experience with the U.S. Department of Commerce at NOAA-Fisheries. As an Operations Research Analyst/Research Scientist, he was responsible for the analysis of fisheries data, for participation in international collaboration on stock assessments and recommendations, and coordination of the U.S. Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico, and Caribbean Billfish Tournament Sampling Program, which resulted in published research results.

Dr. Farber received his B.S. in Systems Engineering from the University of Florida, his M.S. in Management Science from Johns Hopkins University, and his Ph.D. from the University of Miami in Applied Statistics. He also completed a Graduate Summer Program in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Farber left government service after 23 years to become a Full-Time Lecturer at the University of Miami School of Business, teaching Business Statistics. He has taught Biostatistics both at the University of Miami and as an Adjunct Professor at Nova Southeastern University Graduate School.
