Anticipating a robust pipeline, a biotech’s commercial organization was scaling for growth.  The senior leader client wanted to redesign the organization knowing additional therapeutic areas were being added to the portfolio.  In addition, the leader wanted to build change management capabilities and ready their leaders to better execute change.

Approach and Deliverables

WLH provided organizational effectiveness consulting support to evaluate structural options and worked with core members of the senior team to assess the operational impact of changes.  WLH facilitated the team to make critical decisions on structure, human capital strategy, and business planning.

The second objective, to advance change execution capabilities, was addressed by customizing and deploying WLH’s 5C’s of Transition Leadership program.  During a three-day leadership summit, managers focused on change management implications and introducing a new territory planning process.

This scaling for growth effort resulted in the organization being prepared for additional product launches and growth.  Leaders appreciated the opportunity to be proactive and use the change management tools to execute the strategy with discipline and foresight.
